May 19, 2014 · Most mem goes to svchost.exe 1004 Dhcp, eventlog, lmhosts= svchost localservicenetworkrestricted and trustedinstaller. Antivirus , scom etc are stopt , same issue it takes all memory. On the other node all runs fine and it takes only 4 gb of ram . I have recently become annoyed at the high memory usage of the svchost.exe process. I have 8 of these services running at the moment. I havent had reason to complain until recently when they seem to be using more memory than necessary. Open its properties and go to the Threads tab. Here you can clearly see that the wuauserv (Windows Update) thread consumes the most part of the CPU and memory within the svchost.exe process (the wuauserv service scans the system and the update server for updates).
